Words that describe nouns (Quality, Color, Size, etc.)

Definition: An Adjective describes a Noun or Pronoun. It adds meaning to the noun.
(विशेषण वह शब्द है जो संज्ञा या सर्वनाम की विशेषता बताता है।)

1. Adjective of Quality (गुणवाचक)

Describes the **kind** or **quality** of a person or thing. (अच्छा, बुरा, सुंदर, आदि)

Good (अच्छा)	He is a good boy.	वह एक अच्छा लड़का है।
Beautiful (सुंदर)	This is a beautiful flower.	यह एक सुंदर फूल है।
Big (बड़ा)	I have a big house.	मेरे पास एक बड़ा घर है।

2. Adjective of Quantity (परिमाणवाचक)

Describes **how much** of a thing is meant. Used with Uncountable Nouns. (मात्रा बताने वाले)

Adjective	Sentence	Hindi
Some (कुछ/थोड़ा)	Give me some water.	मुझे थोड़ा पानी दो।
Much (बहुत)	There is much noise.	वहाँ बहुत शोर है।
Little (थोड़ा)	I have little hope.	मुझे थोड़ी उम्मीद है।

3. Adjective of Number (संख्यावाचक)

Describes **how many** persons or things are meant. Used with Countable Nouns.

Two (दो)	I have two pens.	मेरे पास दो पेन हैं।
Many (कई)	There are many books.	वहाँ कई किताबें हैं।
First (पहला)	He is the first boy.	वह पहला लड़का है।

4. Demonstrative Adjective (संकेतवाचक)

Points out **which** person or thing is meant. (यह, वह, ये, वे)

This pen is mine. (यह पेन मेरा है।)
That house is yours. (वह घर तुम्हारा है।)
These mangoes are sweet. (ये आम मीठे हैं।)
