'Can' का प्रयोग

Expressing Power, Ability, and Permission.

Concept: "Can" is used to show Ability (Capacity), Permission, or Possibility. It works the same for all subjects (I, You, He, She, They).
("Can" का अर्थ "सकता है" होता है। यह क्षमता या अनुमति बताने के लिए प्रयोग होता है।)

1. Ability or Capacity (क्षमता)

Used to show power, skill, or strength to do something.

English Sentence	Hindi Meaning
I can swim.	मैं तैर सकता हूँ। (Skill)
He can lift this box.	वह यह बक्सा उठा सकता है। (Power)
She can speak English.	वह अंग्रेजी बोल सकती है। (Skill)

2. Permission (अनुमति)

Used to ask for or give permission (Usually informal).

Type	Sentence	Hindi
Asking	Can I go now?	क्या मैं अब जा सकता हूँ?
Giving	You can sit here.	तुम यहाँ बैठ सकते हो।
Denying	You cannot (can't) go.	तुम नहीं जा सकते।

3. Possibility (संभावना)

Used to show something is generally possible.

Smoking can cause cancer. (धूम्रपान से कैंसर हो सकता है।)
Accidents can happen anywhere. (दुर्घटना कहीं भी हो सकती है।)
It can be true. (यह सच हो सकता है।)

Important Rule

Never add 's', 'es', or 'ing' to "Can". Always use Verb 1st Form after it.

✅ He can go.
❌ He cans go. (Wrong)
❌ He can goes. (Wrong)
