The key to talking about the Past Tense.

Concept: "Did" is the past form of "Do". It is used with ALL subjects (He, She, It, I, We, They, You) to make Negative sentences and Questions in the Past Tense.
(Did का प्रयोग सभी कर्ता के साथ भूतकाल में 'नकार' या 'सवाल' पूछने के लिए होता है।)

1. Negative Sentences (Did Not)

To say something did not happen in the past. Always use V1 after Did Not.

Formula: Subject + did not (didn't) + V1

I did not go there. मैं वहाँ नहीं गया।
She did not eat. उसने खाना नहीं खाया।
They did not play. वे नहीं खेले।

2. Interrogative Sentences (Questions)

Formula: Did + Subject + V1?

Do / Does (Present) Did (Past)
Do you know him? (Now) Did you know him? (Before)
I do not like tea. I did not like tea.
