Past Tense for Plural Subjects (We, You, They).

Concept: "Were" is used for the Past Tense. It is used with Plural Subjects (We, They) and the subject "You" (always).
(Were का प्रयोग 'We, You, They' और बहुवचन कर्ता के साथ भूतकाल में होता है।)

1. Simple Past (State/Identity)

Used to describe who or how people were in the past.

English Sentence Hindi Meaning
We were happy. हम खुश थे।
They were friends. वे दोस्त थे।
You were late. तुम लेट थे।

2. Past Continuous (Action in Past)

Used when plural subjects were doing an action in the past.

Formula: Subject (Plural/You) + were + Verb(ing)

English Sentence Hindi Meaning
We were playing. हम खेल रहे थे।
They were fighting. वे लड़ रहे थे।
You were sleeping. तुम सो रहे थे।
