Words used in place of Nouns.

Definition: A Pronoun is a word used in place of a Noun to avoid repetition of the name.
(सर्वनाम वह शब्द है जो संज्ञा के स्थान पर प्रयोग किया जाता है ताकि नाम बार-बार न लेना पड़े।)

1. Personal Pronouns (पुरुषवाचक सर्वनाम)

Used for specific people or things.

Subject (Subjective Case) Object (Objective Case) Hindi Meaning
I (I am going) Me (Help me) मैं / मुझे
He (He is good) Him (Call him) वह / उसे (Male)
She (She sings) Her (Tell her) वह / उसे (Female)
We (We play) Us (Join us) हम / हमें
They (They run) Them (Stop them) वे / उन्हें

2. Possessive Pronouns (अधिकारवाचक)

Used to show ownership. They replace "My + Noun".

Ours That house is ours. हमारा
Hers The bag is hers. उसका (Female)

3. Reflexive Pronouns (निजवाचक)

Used when the subject and object are the same person.

4. Demonstrative Pronouns (संकेतवाचक)

Used to point at things.
