Better, Best, Stronger, Strongest.

Concept: We use these degrees to compare things.
Comparative: Compares 2 things (Better than).
Superlative: Compares 3+ things (The Best).
(तुलनात्मक विशेषण दो वस्तुओं के लिए और सर्वोत्तम विशेषण दो से अधिक के लिए प्रयोग होता है।)

1. Short Words (1 Syllable)

Add -er for Comparative and -est for Superlative.

Positive (1 Thing) Comparative (2 Things) Superlative (3+ Things)
Tall Taller Tallest
Fast Faster Fastest
Cold Colder Coldest

Example: Ram is taller than Shyam. (राम श्याम से लंबा है।)

2. Long Words (2+ Syllables)

Use More for Comparative and Most for Superlative. Do NOT add -er/-est.

Positive Comparative (+More) Superlative (+Most)
Beautiful More Beautiful Most Beautiful
Intelligent More Intelligent Most Intelligent
Expensive More Expensive Most Expensive

Example: This car is more expensive than that bike.

3. Words ending in 'Y'

Change 'y' to 'i' and add -er or -est.

4. Irregular Adjectives (Memorize these!)

These do not follow any rules.
