संज्ञा क्या है?

The first step in English Grammar: Learning the "Naming Words".

Definition: A Noun is the name of a person, place, animal, thing, or idea.
(किसी भी व्यक्ति, जगह, जानवर, वस्तु या विचार के नाम को संज्ञा कहते हैं।)

1. Proper Noun (व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा)

Specific names of people or places. Always starts with a Capital Letter.

2. Common Noun (जातिवाचक संज्ञा)

General names given to every person or thing of the same kind.

3. Collective Noun (समूहवाचक संज्ञा)

Material (द्रव्यवाचक): Names of substances. (e.g., Gold, Water, Wood, Iron).

Abstract (भाववाचक): Feelings or ideas you cannot touch. (e.g., Love, Anger, Honesty, Happiness).
