The Blue Jackal
(नीला सियार)

Long ago, there was a big dark forest. बहुत समय पहले, एक बड़ा काला जंगल था। Many animals lived in this forest. इस जंगल में कई जानवर रहते थे। There was a jackal named Chomu. वहाँ चोमू नाम का एक सियार था। Chomu was very clever but lazy. चोमू बहुत चतुर था लेकिन आलसी था। One summer, the forest became very dry. एक गर्मियों में, जंगल बहुत सूख गया। There was no food to eat anywhere. कहीं भी खाने के लिए भोजन नहीं था। The rivers and lakes dried up. नदियाँ और झीलें सूख गईं। Chomu became very thin and weak. चोमू बहुत पतला और कमजोर हो गया। He searched for food every day. वह हर दिन भोजन की तलाश करता था। But he found nothing in the forest. लेकिन उसे जंगल में कुछ नहीं मिला। He felt very hungry and tired. वह बहुत भूख और थकान महसूस कर रहा था। So, he made a dangerous plan. इसलिए, उसने एक खतरनाक योजना बनाई। He decided to go to the nearby city. उसने पास के शहर में जाने का फैसला किया। It was risky for a wild animal. यह एक जंगली जानवर के लिए जोखिम भरा था। But hunger forced him to go. लेकिन भूख ने उसे जाने के लिए मजबूर किया।

Chomu reached the city at night. चोमू रात में शहर पहुँचा। The streets were quiet and dark. सड़कें शांत और अंधेरी थीं। He started looking for leftover food. वह बचा हुआ खाना तलाशने लगा। He found some bread near a dustbin. उसे कूड़ेदान के पास कुछ रोटी मिली। He was about to eat it happily. वह उसे खुशी से खाने ही वाला था। Suddenly, a group of street dogs saw him. अचानक, आवारा कुत्तों के एक समूह ने उसे देख लिया। The dogs started barking loudly. कुत्ते जोर-जोर से भौंकने लगे। They ran towards Chomu aggressively. वे आक्रामक होकर चोमू की ओर दौड़े। Chomu was terrified for his life. चोमू को अपनी जान का डर था। He dropped the bread and ran away. उसने रोटी गिरा दी और भाग गया। The dogs chased him down the street. कुत्तों ने गली में उसका पीछा किया। Chomu ran faster than ever before. चोमू पहले से कहीं ज्यादा तेज दौड़ा। He saw an open door of a house. उसने एक घर का खुला दरवाजा देखा। It was a washerman's house. यह एक धोबी का घर था। He jumped inside to hide himself. वह खुद को छिपाने के लिए अंदर कूद गया। But he did not see where he jumped. लेकिन उसने नहीं देखा कि वह कहाँ कूदा। He fell straight into a large vat. वह सीधे एक बड़े टब में गिर गया। The vat was full of blue dye. टब नीले रंग से भरा हुआ था।

"मैं इसका इस्तेमाल अपने फायदे के लिए कर सकता हूँ," उसने सोचा।

Chomu walked boldly into the forest. चोमू निडर होकर जंगल में चला गया। Other animals saw him and were scared. दूसरे जानवरों ने उसे देखा और डर गए। The rabbits ran into their holes. खरगोश अपने बिलों में भाग गए। The deer hid behind the trees. हिरण पेड़ों के पीछे छिप गए। Even the mighty lion was surprised. यहाँ तक कि ताकतवर शेर भी हैरान था। They had never seen such a creature. उन्होंने ऐसा प्राणी कभी नहीं देखा था। They thought he was a God. उन्हें लगा कि वह एक भगवान है। Chomu climbed onto a high rock. चोमू एक ऊंची चट्टान पर चढ़ गया। He spoke in a loud, deep voice. वह एक ऊंची, गहरी आवाज में बोला। "Do not be afraid, my friends," he said. Chomu lived a life of luxury. चोमू विलासिता का जीवन जीने लगा। He did not have to hunt anymore. उसे अब शिकार करने की जरूरत नहीं थी। The animals brought him fresh food daily. जानवर उसके लिए रोज ताजा खाना लाते थे। He sat on the rock all day. वह दिन भर चट्टान पर बैठा रहता था। He gave orders to everyone around him. वह अपने आसपास के सभी लोगों को आदेश देता था। However, he was afraid of one thing. हालाँकि, उसे एक बात का डर था। He did not want other jackals near him. वह नहीं चाहता था कि दूसरे सियार उसके पास आएं। He thought they might recognize him. उसने सोचा कि वे उसे पहचान सकते हैं। So, he chased all the jackals away. इसलिए, उसने सभी सियारों को दूर भगा दिया। He told the lion to banish them. उसने शेर से उन्हें निर्वासित करने के लिए कहा। The poor jackals were forced to leave. बेचारे सियारों को जाने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ा। Chomu felt safe and very powerful. चोमू सुरक्षित और बहुत शक्तिशाली महसूस कर रहा था। He forgot his old humble life. वह अपने पुराने विनम्र जीवन को भूल गया। He started treating animals very badly. उसने जानवरों के साथ बहुत बुरा व्यवहार करना शुरू कर दिया। His arrogance grew more every day. उसका अहंकार हर दिन बढ़ता गया।

One night, there was a full moon. एक रात, पूर्णिमा थी। The forest was bright with moonlight. जंगल चांदनी से चमक रहा था। Chomu was sleeping on his rock. चोमू अपनी चट्टान पर सो रहा था। Suddenly, he heard a familiar sound. अचानक, उसने एक जानी-पहचानी आवाज सुनी। It was the howling of distant jackals. यह दूर के सियारों की हुंकार थी। "Hoooo! Hoooo!" they cried in the night. "हूऊऊ! हूऊऊ!" वे रात में चिल्लाए। It was their natural call to each other. यह एक-दूसरे के लिए उनकी प्राकृतिक पुकार थी। Chomu woke up from his sleep. चोमू अपनी नींद से जाग गया। He heard the sound and felt happy. उसने आवाज सुनी और खुश महसूस किया। He forgot that he was a King. वह भूल गया कि वह एक राजा था। He forgot that he was painted blue. वह भूल गया कि वह नीला रंगा हुआ था। His natural instinct took over him. उसकी प्राकृतिक वृत्ति ने उस पर कब्जा कर लिया। He lifted his head towards the moon. उसने अपना सिर चाँद की ओर उठाया। He started howling loudly with them. वह उनके साथ जोर-जोर से चिल्लाने लगा। "Hoooo! The Lion and the Tiger heard him. शेर और बाघ ने उसे सुना। They stopped and looked at the King. वे रुके और राजा की ओर देखा। They were shocked and very angry. वे हैरान और बहुत क्रोधित थे। "That is not the voice of God!" said the Tiger. "वह भगवान की आवाज नहीं है!" बाघ ने कहा। "That is the howl of a jackal!" said the Lion. "वह सिर्फ एक गंदा, रंगा हुआ सियार है।" Chomu realized his big mistake instantly. चोमू को अपनी बड़ी गलती का तुरंत एहसास हुआ। He stopped howling and looked around. उसने चिल्लाना बंद कर दिया और चारों ओर देखा। He saw the angry eyes of animals. उसने जानवरों की गुस्से वाली आँखें देखीं। He tried to run away quickly. उसने जल्दी से भागने की कोशिश की। But the animals were too fast. लेकिन जानवर बहुत तेज थे। They chased him out of the forest. उन्होंने उसे जंगल से बाहर खदेड़ दिया। Chomu ran back to the city limits. चोमू शहर की सीमा पर वापस भाग गया। He washed the paint in the river. उसने नदी में रंग धोया। He was just a common jackal again. वह फिर से एक आम सियार था। He lost his kingdom because of lying. उसने झूठ बोलने के कारण अपना राज्य खो दिया।
