The Four Friends
(चार दोस्त)

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful forest. एक समय की बात है, एक सुंदर जंगल था। In this forest, there lived four unique friends. इस जंगल में, चार अनोखे दोस्त रहते थे। They were a Deer, a Crow, a Mouse, and a Tortoise. वे एक हिरण, एक कौआ, एक चूहा और एक कछुआ थे। They were very different from each other. वे एक-दूसरे से बहुत अलग थे। But they were best friends. लेकिन वे सबसे अच्छे दोस्त थे। Every day, they met under a big Banyan tree. हर दिन, वे एक बड़े बरगद के पेड़ के नीचे मिलते थे। They talked about their day. वे अपने दिन के बारे में बात करते थे। They ate food together. वे एक साथ खाना खाते थे। They promised to always help each other. उन्होंने हमेशा एक-दूसरे की मदद करने का वादा किया था। Their life was very peaceful and happy. उनका जीवन बहुत शांतिपूर्ण और खुशहाल था।

One sunny morning, the friends gathered under the tree. एक धूप वाली सुबह, दोस्त पेड़ के नीचे इकट्ठा हुए। The Crow came flying down. कौआ उड़ता हुआ नीचे आया। The Mouse ran out of his hole. चूहा अपने बिल से बाहर भागा। The Tortoise walked slowly to the spot. कछुआ धीरे-धीरे उस जगह पर चला गया। But the Deer was missing. लेकिन हिरण गायब था। They waited for a long time. उन्होंने लंबे समय तक इंतजार किया। The Deer never came late. हिरण कभी देर से नहीं आता था। The friends got worried. दोस्त चिंतित हो गए। The Tortoise said, "Something is wrong." कछुए ने कहा, "कुछ गड़बड़ है।" The Crow said, "I will go and check." कौए ने कहा, "मैं जाकर देखता हूँ।" The Crow flew high into the sky. कौआ आसमान में ऊँचा उड़ गया। He looked down at the forest. उसने नीचे जंगल की ओर देखा। He saw the Deer near the lake. उसने झील के पास हिरण को देखा। The Deer was trapped in a hunter's net. हिरण एक शिकारी के जाल में फंसा हुआ था। He looked very scared and sad. वह बहुत डरा हुआ और दुखी लग रहा था।

The Crow flew back to his friends. कौआ वापस अपने दोस्तों के पास उड़ गया। He told them everything. उसने उन्हें सब कुछ बताया। The Mouse said, "I can cut the net with my teeth." चूहे ने कहा, "मैं अपने दांतों से जाल काट सकता हूँ।" "But how will I get there quickly?" "लेकिन मैं वहां जल्दी कैसे पहुंचूंगा?" The Crow said, "I will carry you on my back." कौए ने कहा, "मैं तुम्हें अपनी पीठ पर ले जाऊंगा।" The Tortoise said, "Go fast, my friends." कछुए ने कहा, "जल्दी जाओ, मेरे दोस्तों।" The Crow picked up the Mouse. कौए ने चूहे को उठाया। They flew to the lake quickly. वे जल्दी से झील की ओर उड़ गए। They found the Deer crying. उन्होंने हिरण को रोते हुए पाया। The Mouse started cutting the net. चूहे ने जाल काटना शुरू किया। He worked very fast. उसने बहुत तेजी से काम किया। Soon, the Deer was free. जल्द ही, हिरण आजाद हो गया। "Thank you, my friends," said the Deer. "धन्यवाद, मेरे दोस्तों," हिरण ने कहा। Just then, the Tortoise arrived. तभी, कछुआ वहां पहुंचा। He had walked all the way to help. वह मदद करने के लिए पूरा रास्ता चलकर आया था।

Suddenly, they heard footsteps. अचानक, उन्हें पैरों की आवाज सुनाई दी। The Hunter was coming back! शिकारी वापस आ रहा था! The Crow flew up to a tree. कौआ उड़कर एक पेड़ पर चला गया। The Mouse hid in a hole. चूहा एक बिल में छिप गया। The Deer ran into the bushes. हिरण झाड़ियों में भाग गया। But the poor Tortoise was too slow. लेकिन बेचारा कछुआ बहुत धीमा था। He tried to hide, but he could not. उसने छिपने की कोशिश की, लेकिन वह नहीं कर सका। The Hunter saw the empty net. शिकारी ने खाली जाल देखा। He was very angry. वह बहुत क्रोधित था। Then he saw the Tortoise. फिर उसने कछुए को देखा। He laughed and said, "A feast is a feast." वह हंसा और बोला, "दावत तो दावत होती है।" "I lost the Deer, but I have a Tortoise." "मैंने हिरण खो दिया, लेकिन मेरे पास एक कछुआ है।" He picked up the Tortoise. उसने कछुए को उठाया। He put him in his bag. उसने उसे अपने थैले में डाल दिया। He started walking home. वह घर की ओर चलने लगा।

The three friends were very sad. तीनों दोस्त बहुत दुखी थे। They could not leave the Tortoise. वे कछुए को नहीं छोड़ सकते थे। The Crow made a clever plan. कौए ने एक चतुर योजना बनाई। He whispered the plan to the Deer. उसने हिरण को योजना धीरे से बताई। The Deer ran ahead of the Hunter. हिरण शिकारी से आगे भाग गया। He lay down on the path. वह रास्ते पर लेट गया। He pretended to be dead. उसने मरे होने का नाटक किया। The Crow sat on the Deer's head. कौआ हिरण के सिर पर बैठ गया। He pretended to peck at the Deer's eyes. उसने हिरण की आँखों को चोंच मारने का नाटक किया। The Hunter saw the dead Deer. शिकारी ने मरे हुए हिरण को देखा। He was very happy. वह बहुत खुश हुआ। "Luck is with me today!" he thought. "आज किस्मत मेरे साथ है!" उसने सोचा। He put the bag with the Tortoise on the ground. उसने कछुए वाला थैला जमीन पर रख दिया। He walked towards the Deer. वह हिरण की ओर चला।

While the Hunter walked away, the Mouse ran out. जब शिकारी दूर चला गया, तो चूहा बाहर भागा। He ran to the bag quickly. वह जल्दी से थैले के पास गया। He cut the bag with his sharp teeth. उसने अपने तेज दांतों से थैला काट दिया। The Tortoise came out silently. कछुआ चुपचाप बाहर आ गया। They hid behind a big rock. वे एक बड़ी चट्टान के पीछे छिप गए। The Hunter reached the Deer. शिकारी हिरण के पास पहुँचा। Just as he tried to touch him, the Crow cawed loudly. जैसे ही उसने उसे छूने की कोशिश की, कौआ जोर से चिल्लाया। "Caw! Caw!" shouted the Crow. "कांव! कांव!" कौआ चिल्लाया। The Deer jumped up instantly. हिरण तुरंत कूद गया। He ran into the deep forest like the wind. वह हवा की तरह गहरे जंगल में भाग गया। The Hunter was shocked. शिकारी हैरान रह गया। He felt foolish. उसे मूर्खता महसूस हुई। He went back to his bag. वह अपने थैले के पास वापस गया। But the bag was torn and empty. लेकिन थैला फटा हुआ और खाली था। The Tortoise was gone too. कछुआ भी चला गया था। The Hunter had lost everything because of greed. लालच के कारण शिकारी ने सब कुछ खो दिया था। The four friends met again under the tree. चारों दोस्त फिर से पेड़ के नीचे मिले। They were safe and happy together. वे एक साथ सुरक्षित और खुश थे।
