The King and the Seed of Truth
(राजा और सच्चाई का बीज)

"तुम्हें छह महीने तक इसकी देखभाल करनी होगी।" "After six months, bring your plants back." "छह महीने बाद, अपने पौधे वापस लाओ।" "Whoever grows the best plant will be the next King." "ईमानदार बनो," उसने दृढ़ता से कहा। "Show the King what happened." "राजा को दिखाओ कि क्या हुआ।" Raj took a deep breath. राज ने गहरी सांस ली। He walked to the palace with his empty pot. वह अपने खाली बर्तन के साथ महल की ओर चला।

The King walked among the children. राजा बच्चों के बीच चला। He looked at the big, healthy plants. उसने बड़े, स्वस्थ पौधों को देखा। The children smiled proudly at him. बच्चे गर्व से उसकी ओर मुस्कुराए। But the King did not smile back. लेकिन राजा ने वापस मुस्कान नहीं दी। He looked disappointed and sad. वह निराश और दुखी लग रहा था। He reached the end of the line. वह पंक्ति के अंत तक पहुँचा। There stood Raj with his head down. वहाँ राज सिर झुकाए खड़ा था। He held the pot with just soil. उसने केवल मिट्टी वाला बर्तन पकड़ रखा था। The other children laughed at him. दूसरे बच्चे उस पर हँसे। The King stopped in front of Raj. राजा राज के सामने रुक गया। "What is this?" asked the King. "यह क्या है?" राजा ने पूछा। "Where is your plant?" "तुम्हारा पौधा कहाँ है?" Raj started crying softly. राज धीरे-धीरे रोने लगा। "I am sorry, Your Majesty," he said. "मुझे खेद है, महाराज," उसने कहा। "I tried my best to grow the seed." "मैंने बीज उगाने की पूरी कोशिश की।" "I watered it every day." "मैंने इसे रोज पानी दिया।" "But it did not grow." "लेकिन यह नहीं उगा।"

The King smiled for the first time. राजा पहली बार मुस्कुराया। He put his hand on Raj's shoulder. उसने राज के कंधे पर हाथ रखा। He turned to the crowd. वह भीड़ की ओर मुड़ा। "Behold your new King!" he shouted. "अपने नए राजा को देखो!" वह चिल्लाया। The people were confused. लोग भ्रमित थे। "But he has no plant!" they said. "केवल यह लड़का ईमानदार था।" "He had the courage to tell the truth." "उसमें सच बोलने का साहस था।" "Therefore, he is the only one fit to rule."
