The Wolf and the Crane

Once upon a time, there was a big forest. एक समय की बात है, एक बड़ा जंगल था। A ferocious Wolf lived in this forest. इस जंगल में एक खूंखार भेड़िया रहता था। He was known for being very greedy. वह बहुत लालची होने के लिए जाना जाता था। He was also very cruel to other animals. वह दूसरे जानवरों के प्रति बहुत क्रूर भी था। One day, the Wolf hunted a deer. एक दिन, भेड़िये ने एक हिरण का शिकार किया। He was very hungry that day. वह उस दिन बहुत भूखा था। He sat down under a tree to eat. वह खाने के लिए एक पेड़ के नीचे बैठ गया। He started eating the meat very fast. उसने मांस बहुत तेजी से खाना शुरू कर दिया। He did not chew his food properly. उसने अपना खाना ठीक से नहीं चबाया। He swallowed big chunks of meat rapidly. वह मांस के बड़े टुकड़े तेजी से निगल गया। "This is delicious!" he growled to himself. Someone please help me!" he cried. "मेरी मदद करो! कोई कृपया मेरी मदद करो!" वह रोया। He ran through the forest looking for a doctor. वह डॉक्टर की तलाश में जंगल में भागा।

He met a Bear on the way. रास्ते में उसे एक भालू मिला। "Please help me, brother Bear," begged the Wolf. "कृपया मेरी मदद करो, भाई भालू," भेड़िये ने भीख मांगी। "I have a bone stuck in my throat." "मैं तुम्हारी मदद नहीं कर सकता," भालू ने कहा। "You might bite my paw off." "तुम मेरा पंजा काट सकते हो।" The Bear walked away quickly. भालू जल्दी से चला गया। Then the Wolf saw a Fox. फिर भेड़िये ने एक लोमड़ी को देखा। "Sister Fox, please help me!" he cried. "बहन लोमड़ी, कृपया मेरी मदद करो!" वह रोया। The Fox was very clever. लोमड़ी बहुत चालाक थी। "Your throat is too deep for me," she said. "तुम्हारा गला मेरे लिए बहुत गहरा है," उसने कहा। "I cannot reach the bone." "मैं हड्डी तक नहीं पहुँच सकती।" Everyone refused to help the cruel Wolf. हर किसी ने क्रूर भेड़िये की मदद करने से इनकार कर दिया।

The Wolf was losing all hope. भेड़िया सारी उम्मीद खो रहा था। He reached the bank of a river. वह एक नदी के किनारे पहुँचा। There he saw a Crane standing in water. वहाँ उसने पानी में खड़े एक सारस को देखा। The Crane had a very long neck. सारस की गर्दन बहुत लंबी थी। He also had a long and sharp beak. उसकी चोंच भी लंबी और तेज थी। The Wolf thought, "He can surely help me." भेड़िये ने सोचा, "वह निश्चित रूप से मेरी मदद कर सकता है।" He approached the Crane slowly. वह धीरे-धीरे सारस के पास पहुँचा। "Hello, kind Crane," said the Wolf softly. "नमस्ते, दयालु सारस," भेड़िये ने धीरे से कहा। The Crane was scared of the Wolf. सारस भेड़िये से डर गया था। He was about to fly away. वह उड़ने ही वाला था। "Please do not fly away," pleaded the Wolf. "मैं बहुत दर्द में हूँ और मदद की जरूरत है।" The Crane looked at the Wolf's condition. सारस ने भेड़िये की हालत देखी। He saw that the Wolf was suffering. उसने देखा कि भेड़िया पीड़ित था।

"What happened to you?" asked the Crane. "तुम्हें क्या हुआ?" सारस ने पूछा। "A bone is stuck in my throat," said the Wolf. "मेरे गले में एक हड्डी फंसी हुई है," भेड़िये ने कहा। "I cannot eat, I cannot sleep." "मैं खा नहीं सकता, मैं सो नहीं सकता।" "You have a long neck and beak." "तुम्हारी गर्दन और चोंच लंबी है।" "You can easily pull it out." "तुम इसे आसानी से बाहर निकाल सकते हो।" "If you help me, I will give you a big reward." "अगर तुम मेरी मदद करोगे, तो मैं तुम्हें बड़ा इनाम दूँगा।" "I promise to give you whatever you want." "मैं वादा करता हूँ कि तुम जो चाहो वो दूँगा।" The Crane was a greedy bird too. सारस भी एक लालची पक्षी था। He thought about the reward. उसने इनाम के बारे में सोचा। "Okay, I will help you," agreed the Crane. "ठीक है, मैं तुम्हारी मदद करूँगा," सारस मान गया। "But you must promise not to bite me." "लेकिन तुम्हें मुझे न काटने का वादा करना होगा।" "I promise, I promise!" said the Wolf eagerly. "मैं वादा करता हूँ, मैं वादा करता हूँ!" भेड़िये ने उत्सुकता से कहा।

The Wolf opened his mouth very wide. भेड़िये ने अपना मुंह बहुत चौड़ा खोला। His mouth was full of sharp, scary teeth. उसका मुंह तेज, डरावने दांतों से भरा था। The Crane felt very nervous. सारस बहुत घबराया हुआ महसूस कर रहा था। But he wanted the reward. लेकिन वह इनाम चाहता था। He put his long head inside the Wolf's mouth. उसने अपना लंबा सिर भेड़िये के मुंह के अंदर डाला। He reached deep down into the throat. वह गले में गहराई तक पहुँचा। He saw the sharp bone stuck there. उसने वहां फंसी हुई तेज हड्डी देखी। He grabbed the bone with his beak carefully. उसने अपनी चोंच से हड्डी को सावधानी से पकड़ा। He pulled it with all his strength. उसने अपनी पूरी ताकत से इसे खींचा। The bone came out successfully. हड्डी सफलतापूर्वक बाहर आ गई। The Crane quickly pulled his head out. सारस ने जल्दी से अपना सिर बाहर निकाला। The Wolf took a deep breath of relief. भेड़िये ने राहत की गहरी सांस ली। The pain was finally gone. दर्द आखिरकार चला गया था।

The Wolf stood up and stretched his body. भेड़िया खड़ा हो गया और अपना शरीर फैलाया। He felt very good and happy. वह बहुत अच्छा और खुश महसूस कर रहा था। He started walking away without saying a word. वह बिना एक शब्द कहे जाने लगा। The Crane was surprised by this. सारस इससे हैरान था। "Wait! Wait, Mr. Wolf!" shouted the Crane. "रुको! रुको, श्रीमान भेड़िये!" सारस चिल्लाया। "Where are you going?" "तुम कहाँ जा रहे हो?" "You forgot something important." "तुम कुछ महत्वपूर्ण भूल गए हो।" The Wolf stopped and looked back. भेड़िया रुका और पीछे मुड़कर देखा। "What did I forget?" he asked rudely. "मैं क्या भूल गया?" उसने अभद्रता से पूछा। "My reward!" said the Crane. "मेरा इनाम!" सारस ने कहा। "You promised to give me a big reward." "तुमने मुझे बड़ा इनाम देने का वादा किया था।" "I saved your life today." "मैंने आज तुम्हारी जान बचाई है।" The Wolf started laughing loudly. भेड़िया जोर-जोर से हंसने लगा। His laugh was scary and cold. उसकी हंसी डरावनी और रूखी थी।

The Wolf showed his teeth to the Crane. भेड़िये ने सारस को अपने दांत दिखाए। "You are a very foolish bird," said the Wolf. "तुम बहुत मूर्ख पक्षी हो," भेड़िये ने कहा। "You put your head inside my mouth." "तुमने अपना सिर मेरे मुंह के अंदर डाला।" "My mouth is full of sharp teeth." "मेरा मुंह तेज दांतों से भरा है।" "I could have bitten your head off." "मैं तुम्हारा सिर काट सकता था।" "But I let you take your head out safely." "लेकिन मैंने तुम्हें अपना सिर सुरक्षित बाहर निकालने दिया।" "That is the biggest reward for you." "यह तुम्हारे लिए सबसे बड़ा इनाम है।" "Be thankful that you are still alive." "शुक्र मनाओ कि तुम अभी भी जिंदा हो।" "Do not expect anything else from me."
