The Scholars and the Lion

Long ago, in a small town, lived four friends. बहुत समय पहले, एक छोटे से शहर में, चार दोस्त रहते थे। They grew up together since childhood. वे बचपन से एक साथ बड़े हुए थे। Three of them were very learned scholars. उनमें से तीन बहुत बड़े विद्वान थे। They had read every holy book. उन्होंने हर पवित्र किताब पढ़ी थी। They knew magic, science, and scriptures. वे जादू, विज्ञान और शास्त्रों को जानते थे। However, they lacked one thing. हालाँकि, उनमें एक चीज की कमी थी। They had no common sense. उनमें कोई सामान्य ज्ञान नहीं था। The fourth friend was named Subuddhi. चौथे मित्र का नाम सुबुद्धि था। He was not a scholar. वह विद्वान नहीं था। He had never gone to school. वह कभी स्कूल नहीं गया था। But he had a lot of common sense. लेकिन उसके पास बहुत सामान्य ज्ञान था। He understood the world through experience. उसने अनुभव के माध्यम से दुनिया को समझा था। One day, the four friends met. एक दिन, चारों दोस्त मिले। They decided to travel to foreign lands. उन्होंने विदेशी भूमि की यात्रा करने का फैसला किया। "We should use our learning to earn money," said the first scholar. The third scholar prepared to finish the job. तीसरे विद्वान ने काम पूरा करने की तैयारी की। "Now I will give it life," he announced. "अब मैं इसे जीवन दूँगा," उसने घोषणा की। He closed his eyes to chant the spell. उसने मंत्र का जाप करने के लिए अपनी आँखें बंद कर लीं। Suddenly, Subuddhi shouted, "Stop!" अचानक, सुबुद्धि चिल्लाया, "रुको!" The scholars laughed loudly at Subuddhi. विद्वान सुबुद्धि पर जोर से हंसे। "You are such a coward," said the third scholar. "तुम कितने कायर हो," तीसरे विद्वान ने कहा। "You are jealous of our knowledge." "तुम हमारे ज्ञान से जलते हो।" "We created him, so he will respect us." "हमने उसे बनाया है, इसलिए वह हमारा सम्मान करेगा।" "Do not try to teach us about life." "हमें जीवन के बारे में सिखाने की कोशिश मत करो।" Subuddhi realized they would not listen. सुबुद्धि को एहसास हुआ कि वे नहीं सुनेंगे। Their pride had made them blind. उनके अभिमान ने उन्हें अंधा बना दिया था। "Okay, do what you want," said Subuddhi. The third scholar began his chanting again. तीसरे विद्वान ने अपना जाप फिर से शुरू किया। He sprinkled water on the lion. उसने शेर पर पानी छिड़का। Slowly, the lion's tail moved. धीरे-धीरे, शेर की पूंछ हिली। Then its chest started to breathe. फिर उसकी छाती सांस लेने लगी। Finally, the lion opened its yellow eyes. अंत में, शेर ने अपनी पीली आँखें खोलीं। It stood up and stretched its body. वह खड़ा हुआ और अपने शरीर को फैलाया। It gave a loud, terrifying roar. उसने एक जोर से, भयानक दहाड़ दी। "ROAR!" the sound shook the forest. "रॉर!" आवाज ने जंगल को हिला दिया। The scholars were happy for a second. विद्वान एक सेकंड के लिए खुश थे। But then the lion looked at them. लेकिन फिर शेर ने उनकी ओर देखा। The lion was very hungry. शेर बहुत भूखा था। It did not care about their knowledge. उसे उनके ज्ञान की परवाह नहीं थी। It jumped on the three scholars. वह तीनों विद्वानों पर कूद पड़ा। Before they could use any magic, they were killed. इससे पहले कि वे किसी जादू का उपयोग कर पाते, वे मारे गए। The lion ate them and went away. शेर ने उन्हें खा लिया और चला गया।

After the lion left, Subuddhi came down. शेर के जाने के बाद, सुबुद्धि नीचे आया। He was very sad to see his friends. वह अपने दोस्तों को देखकर बहुत दुखी था। They were intelligent but foolish. वे बुद्धिमान थे लेकिन मूर्ख थे। Their books could not save them. उनकी किताबें उन्हें नहीं बचा सकीं। Subuddhi went back to his village alone. सुबुद्धि अकेला अपने गाँव वापस चला गया। He told everyone what happened. उसने सबको बताया कि क्या हुआ था। The villagers understood a great lesson. गाँव वालों ने एक बड़ा सबक समझा। Knowledge without wisdom is useless. बुद्धिमानी के बिना ज्ञान बेकार है। Common sense is better than scholarship. सामान्य ज्ञान विद्वता से बेहतर है।
