The Fox and the Stork

Once upon a time, in a large forest, lived a Fox. एक समय की बात है, एक बड़े जंगल में, एक लोमड़ी रहती थी। The Fox was very clever and cunning. लोमड़ी बहुत चालाक और धूर्त थी। He always liked to play tricks on others. उसे हमेशा दूसरों के साथ मज़ाक करना पसंद था। In the same forest, there lived a Stork. उसी जंगल में, एक सारस रहता था। The Stork was a very simple and kind bird. सारस बहुत ही सरल और दयालु पक्षी था। One day, the Fox met the Stork by the river. एक दिन, लोमड़ी की मुलाकात नदी के किनारे सारस से हुई। The Fox wanted to be friends with the Stork. लोमड़ी सारस से दोस्ती करना चाहती थी। He talked very sweetly to the bird. उसने पक्षी से बहुत मीठे स्वर में बात की। "Hello, dear Stork," said the Fox. "नमस्ते, प्यारे सारस," लोमड़ी ने कहा। "You look very elegant today." "तुम आज बहुत सुंदर लग रहे हो।" The innocent Stork was happy to hear this. मासूम सारस यह सुनकर खुश हुआ। "Thank you, Mr. Fox," replied the Stork. "धन्यवाद, श्रीमान लोमड़ी," सारस ने उत्तर दिया। They started meeting every day near the water. वे हर दिन पानी के पास मिलने लगे। They became good friends after some time. कुछ समय बाद वे अच्छे दोस्त बन गए।

The Stork realized it was a trick. सारस समझ गया कि यह एक चाल थी। He felt humiliated and hungry. उसने अपमानित और भूखा महसूस किया। But he did not show his anger. लेकिन उसने अपना गुस्सा नहीं दिखाया। "I am not feeling very hungry today," lied the Stork. "मुझे आज ज्यादा भूख नहीं लग रही है," सारस ने झूठ बोला। "But thank you for the meal." "क्या सूप स्वादिष्ट नहीं है?" सारस ने पूछा। The Fox understood what had happened. लोमड़ी समझ गई कि क्या हुआ था। He remembered the flat plates he used. उसे वो सपाट प्लेटें याद आईं जो उसने इस्तेमाल की थीं। He realized he was being paid back. उसे एहसास हुआ कि उसे बदला चुकाया जा रहा है। He felt ashamed of his behavior. उसे अपने व्यवहार पर शर्म महसूस हुई। He could not complain because he started it. वह शिकायत नहीं कर सकता था क्योंकि उसने ही शुरुआत की थी। He hung his head low and left the house. उसने अपना सिर नीचे झुकाया और घर से निकल गया। He went back to the forest hungry and sad. वह भूखा और उदास जंगल वापस चला गया। From that day, he never tricked anyone again. उस दिन से, उसने फिर कभी किसी के साथ छल नहीं किया।
