The Talkative Tortoise

Long ago, in a dense forest, there was a beautiful lake. बहुत समय पहले, एक घने जंगल में, एक सुंदर झील थी। The lake was filled with clear, blue water. झील साफ, नीले पानी से भरी हुई थी। Many colorful lotuses grew in the water. पानी में कई रंग-बिरंगे कमल खिले थे। In this lake lived a tortoise named Kambugriva. इस झील में कंबुग्रीव नाम का एक कछुआ रहता था। Kambugriva was a very friendly animal. कंबुग्रीव बहुत मिलनसार जानवर था। But he had one big weakness. लेकिन उसकी एक बड़ी कमजोरी थी। He loved to talk too much. उसे बहुत ज्यादा बात करना पसंद था। He could not stay silent even for a minute. वह एक मिनट भी चुप नहीं रह सकता था। He always had a story to tell. उसके पास हमेशा सुनाने के लिए कोई न कोई कहानी होती थी। Two beautiful white geese also lived nearby. दो सुंदर सफेद हंस भी पास में रहते थे। Their names were Sankata and Vikata. उनके नाम संकट और विकट थे। They were very wise and calm birds. वे बहुत बुद्धिमान और शांत पक्षी थे। The three of them became best friends. वे तीनों पक्के दोस्त बन गए। Every evening, they met on the river bank. हर शाम, वे नदी के किनारे मिलते थे। The geese told stories about the sky and mountains. हंस आकाश और पहाड़ों के बारे में कहानियाँ सुनाते थे। The tortoise told stories about the deep water. कछुआ गहरे पानी के बारे में कहानियाँ सुनाता था। They lived happily for many years. वे कई वर्षों तक खुशी से रहे।
