The Farmer and the Bundle of Sticks

Once upon a time, in a small village, lived an old man. एक समय की बात है, एक छोटे से गाँव में, एक बूढ़ा आदमी रहता था। His name was Ramlal. उसका नाम रामलाल था। He was a very hardworking farmer. वह बहुत मेहनती किसान था। He had worked in his fields all his life. उसने अपनी सारी जिंदगी अपने खेतों में काम किया था। Through his hard work, he became rich. अपनी मेहनत से वह अमीर बन गया। He had a big house and many cows. उसके पास एक बड़ा घर और कई गायें थीं। His fields were always full of green crops. उसके खेत हमेशा हरी-भरी फसलों से भरे रहते थे। Everyone in the village respected him greatly. गाँव में हर कोई उसका बहुत सम्मान करता था। However, Ramlal was not a happy man. हालाँकि, रामलाल खुश आदमी नहीं था। He had a big worry in his heart. उसके दिल में एक बड़ी चिंता थी। The cause of his worry was his sons. उसकी चिंता का कारण उसके बेटे थे। Ramlal had three grown-up sons. रामलाल के तीन बड़े बेटे थे। Their names were Ravi, Vijay, and Ajay. उनके नाम रवि, विजय और अजय थे। They were all strong and healthy young men. वे सभी मजबूत और स्वस्थ युवक थे। But they had one very bad habit. लेकिन उनकी एक बहुत बुरी आदत थी। They always quarreled with each other. वे हमेशा एक-दूसरे से झगड़ते रहते थे।

"चटाक!" आवाज आई। The sticks broke very easily. लकड़ियां बहुत आसानी से टूट गईं। They broke two, then three sticks easily. उन्होंने दो, फिर तीन लकड़ियां आसानी से तोड़ दीं। Within minutes, all the sticks were broken. मिनटों में, सारी लकड़ियां टूट गईं। The sons looked at their father, confused. बेटों ने अपने पिता को भ्रमित होकर देखा। They did not understand the meaning. उन्हें इसका मतलब समझ नहीं आया।

Ramlal sat up and spoke seriously. रामलाल उठ बैठा और गंभीरता से बोला। "My dear sons, you are like these sticks." "तुम एक अकेली लकड़ी की तरह कमजोर हो जाओगे।" "People will cheat you and defeat you." "लोग तुम्हें धोखा देंगे और हरा देंगे।" "Unity is your greatest strength." "एकता तुम्हारी सबसे बड़ी ताकत है।"

The three sons hung their heads in shame. तीनों बेटों ने शर्म से सिर झुका लिया। They understood their father's wisdom. वे अपने पिता की बुद्धिमत्ता को समझ गए। They realized their fighting was foolish. उन्हें एहसास हुआ कि उनकी लड़ाई मूर्खतापूर्ण थी। Ravi looked at Vijay and Ajay. रवि ने विजय और अजय को देखा। "I am sorry for shouting at you," he said. "तुम पर चिल्लाने के लिए मुझे खेद है," उसने कहा। "We should work together on the farm." "हमें खेत पर एक साथ काम करना चाहिए।" "Yes, brother," said Vijay and Ajay.
